Perfectionism

This is undoubtedly one of the most intrigue topic I have come across so far. Today, if you are haunting for a new job, you must be perfect candidate for this so that you can left them with no other option but to pick you out. You must be a perfect spouse to your spouse at home. You must be perfect son/daughter/parents/sibling and a perfect student in your adademic career. And more interestingly, the definition of "perfect" also changes everywhere. If you are a perfect hasband/wife, then you must keep your spouse happy everytime. Get her every wish done. And this may ruin your career life somewhere else. In most of Saas bahu tv serials (which I hated to a great extent), a very interesting facts is usually seen. There is a family whose turn over is in tens of millions a year. Quite impressive!!.. but none of the time, they do anything for there business, but just doing there family dramas. I wonder if Bill Gates could have such a wonderful life where no work is done but you are still getting buffs.

Anyways, leave these stories a side. We must always remeber that we should never ignore the uniqueness of life. And in that uniqueness, there is a common factor, nothing is perfect. We always have to update ourselves with time to time and not even time is perfect (As per I firmly believe in Theory of Relativity).

Another difficultivity with being a perfect is that it is absolutely a moving target. You ight never achieve it. Even some philosophers (you might be one of them) stated that "Only God is perfect". And here I have two reasons to not believe this. First, I am atheist. Second, let me be wrong, God exists, but if He is perfect, then why everything He/She/It made so far is imperfect. Why nature always likes changes in itself. Human Being from homo sapiens might be a long story to tell, but prove itself that nature needed so many modifications to make a homo sapiens more perfect. And that's is well enough to say that not even God is perfect. Otherwise there would have never been any disasterous event occurred in our life. And everything is about life and death, no unnatural deaths would have been occurred.

In todays world, It is undeniable that we need to keep ourself update as much as possible, but not perfect. Being perfect might make you hungry, and in some ways, being hungry about anything may strengthen your desire to get your target. And according to Poulo Coelho - " When you truly desire something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it". Remember, there is a word can easily be avoided.. "truly". And this might be true for some extent. But our definition has also been changed here. Perfect. being perfect means never stop desiring. Desire more, and more. And let the universe conspire to fulfill it. And here, desire becomes somewhat different from persist. You only think about what you desire and nothing else might prove Poulo wrong, just as Quantum Physics can get Classical mechanics wrong at atomic scale. Here Buddha's theory must work - "All suffering is born of desire".

So we must distinguish applicability of these two facts.

Desire can be helpful to some levels, but if it extends, then know one knows what it may followed by.
And thus, perfectinsm is also the mean hindrance to invent new activities and we must focus on discovering some new qualities and talents in ourself instead of being perfect. We are lucky to born in a universe where we are still struggling to figure out the laws of nature.
Thanks..
